  8. Well there goes the last weekend of the summer. It turned out to be great weather and good fishing. They have started construction out in front of the store, but ...more I assure you that we are open. Not much as changed since the last report. Water temps have been hovering around 70° to 73°. We have seen a lot of nice eater size walleyes being caught, but not a ton of big ones. That will change as we enter the fall season.
Walleyes: 5’ – 8’ of water with rapalas at night has been decent for some nice walleyes. During the day move out to 12’ -20’ feet of water with bottom bouncers and a leech or jigs tipped with suckers or fatheads.
Bass: are still hanging around docks and cabbage weeds. Spinners and sucker minnows are productive.
Sunfish: 8’ -12’ feet of water with weeds seems to be the best areas to target. Fluflu jigs with nothing on it or tipped with a waxie.
Crappies: 10’ – 15’ feet of water with jigs tipped with crappie minnows.
Northern: weed edges casting spoons or sucker minnows.
Musky: 15’ – 20’ of water casting 10” jakes and spinners.

Walleye are the main attraction here. One of the best for winter perch. Broad sand flats and numerous midlake humps provide plenty of spots to fish.
