Chase State Fishing Lake Fishing Reports

Recently shared catches and fishing spots

  1. Details: Crappie with a Night crawler

Deep water just after ice out.

  2. This lake is overpopulated with crappie and it is a natural population. Keep every single one you catch! There is not enough food to make slabs!!

There's a pretty nice concrete ramp and floating dock. State registration laws apply for anything motorized. It's a non recreational boating lake also so ...more it's just fishing! No annoying skiers or tubing to worry about.

Sounds like a plan! See you in April for sure! Can you launch a Jon in there?

You gotta come down in April and May. The crappie are insane. We didn't fish as hard as we wanted to but we caught 300 last spring. There are a lot of bass but ...more not a lot of big bass. The zebras just hit us a couple years ago and so far we haven't noticed a change in the fish. The water is much more clear though. And of course they stock channel cat and we catch everything from 15" to 28lbs. Biggest i caught was 18. But the cat fishing there is way more active than anyone could imagine. It's nothing to catch and release 10 keepers in 5hrs when they're peaking. Come on down!
