Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth bass have been caught using plastics and crankbaits near rock structures and cedar tree piles. ...more Crappie - Fair: Most crappies being caught are 5-7 inches with some up to 10 inches. They are being caught using minnows and small jigs along the roadbed and near the rock mounds.
    Water temperatures in the Mount Ayr District area lakes are around 55 degrees. The district includes Page, Taylor, Adams, Union, Ringgold, Decatur, Clarke, and Madison counties. Reports from small area lakes have reported crappies are moving near shore and bass are on beds. For more information call 641-464-3108.

Crappie - Slow: Crappies up to 10 inches are being caught on minnows and wax worms along the channel and the roadbed. Walleye - Slow: Walleyes up to 18 inches are being caught with minnows along the roadbed in the evenings.

People that are willing to keep moving have had the best luck. Crappie - Slow: Crappies up to 10 inches are being caught on minnows and wax worms along the channel and the roadbed. Walleye - Slow: Walleyes are being caught on minnows along the roadbed. Fishing success has been variable on many lakes in the district.
