Fished bass tournament last weekend. Took 4th. Should have had 2nd but one fish was hooked deep and died. 1/2 lb penalty. Fished Oil, Poison, and Bear Creeks ...more with one keeper. Didn't prefish, fished wrong pattern most of the day in creeks, had boat problems with mud from Bear Creek. Found fish on main river outside of Clover creek along Cloverport bank at 2:30 PM. In grass and river channel drop 20 yards off of bank. Locals said water came up 2 ft in last couple of days. Junk fishing, Spinnerbait wht/chrt, blk/bl jig, Texas rig tube wat/chart tail.

Anyone out there have some spots around Brandenburg on the Ohio. Looks like the small BASS club I am in will have a tournament there around June 29 and I've ...more never fished that part of the river. Never too early to start to line up contacts and spots. I did drop some spots up in the McAlpine pool where we usually put out of Cox's park.
The second largest lake in the state is loaded with Largemouth Bass and Bluegill. Standing timber provides acres of cover and countless angling opportunities. 8,880 acres
Another top-notch Largemouth Bass lake. Excellent natural reproduction and average growth rates produce good numbers of fish in the 13-to 15-inch range. Nine pounders are routine.
