1. Fishing northern Wisconsin where 40" of ice just melted completely awayon May 4th. Bass, Walleye, Perch, and/or Panfish...what are you targetting and what's ...more your presentation?

I'd look for dark bottom and shallow for warmest water with small spinners for catch and release pike/muskies if it's a good lake. Don't be afraid to ...more go super shallow. Remnant walleyes (eater males) will still be in the river mouths - like the east fork of the Chippewa River as it goes into the Chip. Flowage for example. I also suck at lake walleyes in spring and totally agree with the guys on prespawn bass but that could be tough as I bet water temp is only 40-45 up there.

I would also go for the pre spawn bass, I usually like a sexy shad color squarebill crank here in northern Illinois for them

I'd throw a red or crawfish Rat-L-Trap into the 5-6ft deep flats for bass who are looking at a pre-spawn location. Spring walleye in the lakes have always eluded ...more me, so I only go for them in the rivers up to about this time of year.
