      Not all the rivers freeze the ones with faster running water stay open but the river I live by freezes

      Yeah every winter the river up here freezes all the way over it's a really slow moving river but right now there are a few open spots along the river

      Oh yeah right now the river here is mostly frozen with a few spots if open water And I haven't had any luck yet @TennesseeTroutboy

      If you can find a channel when the water is high and murky you can get some 2-9lb cats
