I am heading to Devils Lake this next weekend. I know it will be getting colder, but I am trying it anyway. Has anyone had any luck locating a good perch or walleye ...more bite? I was wondering if 6 mile was still producing and if the other bays have had any luck.

  Everything is fishable, but this lake produces large numbers of fish only if you are mobile. The recent snows have slowed that down.

  Okay, that is good to hear, it would make for some easier setup. I typically fish six mile bay but would like to try the flats. I just have no clue where to begin ...more there or how to drive into it. Are the flats fishable without snowmobiles or is it not worth my time?

  depends on where you go. typically you dont have to go too far out.

  How far out have you had to go from shore Jared? I do not have easy access to a snowmobile right now.

  fishing has been decent. Went out this afternoon and put 11 jumbos on the ice in about an hour. Dont plan on driving your pickup out on the ice. The snow is crazy ...more crazy deep. Snowmobiles and and anything with tracks is pretty much the only option at this point.
