1. Mike, I believe I am in the spawn season right now with that water temperature at around 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
I haven't had much luck at all with any fast ...more moving baits such as crank baits, spinner baits, or chatter baits.
Had a couple smaller largemouth bass trying hit the plastic texas rigged worm last week. Any suggestions on what the lunkers are doing in North Carolina or what bait is the best right now? I'm fishing the creeks and rivers for largemouth bass.

    Thanks,
    Blake

I'm a different Mike, but from what I've experienced, flipping a jig/craw combo, or possibly a weedless tube jig in likely spawning areas might work. A white ...more Zoom Super Fluke rigged weightless Texas-style twitched over beds may work as well. You have to be very deliberate about your cast placement when fishing for spawners. I've also found a #7 crawfish-colored Shad Rap to be good in rocky areas on spawners. Make sure it's banging on the bottom during your retrieve.
