1. Most bass reports are still coming from the old river runs on the lower end of the lake. Places like Camp Pratt and Big Coalfire are still popular. Early and late ...more in the day, target the grass beds and shallow cover with buzzbaits and frogs. Later in the day, target deeper banks containing wood or grass with t-rigged plastics, jigs and spinnerbaits. Other good areas to target in the fall will be James Creek and Kincaid Creek. As we have more and more cooler weather, look for these areas to start loading up with both baitfish and bass and crappie. The catfish bite is fair along the navigation channel and the mouths of the old river runs. Cutbait and liver have been best baits. A few crappie anglers are starting to show up in Camp Pratt as well as James and Kincaid creeks. Most are targeting the deeper banks that have wood and grass. Both crappie jigs and minnows are catching fish.
