Took a gamble today, and decided to try an area I never fished before on Lake Arthur. Morning started off well enough with several blow ups that didn't connect. Then, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Rick S., in person. Great guy. We probably chatted for 20 minutes or so, then went back to fishing. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the Bass wanted to play with me, today, as I spent most of my time in Trout Cove, trying to locate them. They were there, but elusive. Only 2 of the day were dinks, caught on back-to-back casts with a wacky rigged senko. Win some, lose some. 🤷‍♂️

It was just a weird day. I would get a blow up, they'd miss, and they'd never come back for it. One and done. Right after Rick left, I cast a frog into ...more this cut he and I had just talked about, and my line just barely caught on an overhang, causing the frog to dangle in the water. a bass jumped up and ripped it out of the snag, then disappeared. Later, toward the end of the day, as I was casting on the southern side of the small island at 528, I was lifting my chatterbait out of the water for a recast, when I look down and see a bass chewing on my trailer. The rest of the bait was already out of the water! Like I said, weird day.
