Out on Lake Lavon right before the severe thunderstorm hit, literally caught a very nice slabrador crappie and it was on a rooster tail

James . 0Thanks, Walter Thatcher there are many slabs in Lavon my PB crappie out of here was at the Lavon Dam after the water release it was nearly a 17 incher weighing around ...more 3 lb!

Walter Thatcher 1Nice catch. I fished Lake Lavon back in 1970 and caught some of the large Crappie up to 3 lbs, I don't remember a lot about the lake but it was on the west ...more side and close to some willow trees in 8-10 ft water close to the bank. I lived in Sunny Brook apts, in Plano and traveled to work at TI.
