We did pretty well on walleyes compared to what others were saying at the dock. Some even had a blue tint to them that you could see on their tail. And it wiped off with a rag... crazy!

Yeah, I hear you Gunnar, the mayfly hatch was terrible everywhere we went. Never found schools of fish. Find the Eyes in 18-28 feet of water. Shallow (18') ...more in low light or the one cloudy day we had. We searched til we marked fish on electronics, and then fished. Best luck with shiners and/or leeches. Black Bay was very good to us in the evenings. Not deep there 8 feet! Sorry to hear about the bears! I hear they make great rugs! Lol We didn't see a single one! 😞

We struggled due to that mayfly hatch as well. While the fishing was tough, we did manage to catch a few every day 16”-20”. We never really found any schools, did ...more you? What depths were you having luck with? Tried deep & shallow & worked the electronics like crazy but no luck. Fishing is just SO different on the US side. We would have had a few more days if the damned bears would’ve left our camp alone! Looks like you had a great trip!
