Caught a Kelp Bass on Dana Point using a 5”big hammer swim bait, 1oz red warbaits leadhead

Overcast conditions earlier this month caught this bass on the edge of a thick kelp forest on a rising tide 68 degree water.

  They are cool looking fish for sure. One of the best inshore fish in SoCal.
