5th cast, skipped under a dock. First catch on the Veritas rod and Revo 40 with hiviz braid Fleurocarbon leader. Love the sound the braid makes when I hook one. Caught a smaller spot off rocks. The water isn't the least bit muddy.

      Lol. Nice gene.. I use p-line floro for my walleyes.. but the regular p-line I don't mess with at all.. now the braid, that's a different story.. hahaha. ...more love braid. it does take time to get use to it.. the NO stretch.. so this means you have to let them take the rubber worm or other soft baits a little bit longer.. but the hook set it much better.. I was missing alot of eyes the year before last.. slowed it down, hooked more fish.. good luck on getting that 3lber this week.. tight lines! AND hope that helps

      Thanks. They were all over Ned but wouldn't touch my new 110 Bone plopped.
      I'm in the braid learning stage. I had a bad spool of P line. Changed to sniper ...more 20lb on 30 lb Spider. I'm setting the hook to early and hard. Cost me 2 today. I'm getting there. The sound of the braid on the spool is worth the trouble. I rigged up some drop shot rigs for my wife. Going back if storms hold. I haven't gotten 3lb yet this week. Today's was close but I totally forgot I have scales now.
