found a load of guads last weekend. the state fish of Texas. they don't get big like largemouth. world record is under 4 lbs

  colorado river is the best for guads. we caught a 3 pound guard there 5 years ago. worms, jigs, flukes, and top waters

  Thanks Roger. I have a spot up past Bastrop at Webberville where there's good duck hunting. I'll have to try that spot for fish next time I'm up there.

  Great catch Taylor!! Gannon, we have been hitting the Colorado hard over the last few months.. caught several between Smithville and La Grange on minnow jerkbaits.. ...more I hear there are tons near Columbus but both launch points are currently shut down, I also hear the closer you get to Austin the better the guad fishing is!!

  Have you ever caught any guads on the Colorado? I want to catch a guad and haven't had any luck. Any tips you could give me?
