      No it doesn't. That was seriously the reason for keeping it. I didn't go into great deal of the whole. We have 2 on the wall from 10 years ago. He kept this ...more one bc the coating was coming off and decided to keep it for that reason and for the fact that it was his first one out of the lake. He had intentions of letting her go, it just didn't work out that way this time. Happy fishing to you too!

      Need to go back and look at your comment from 2 days ago. I don't hate and I do keep some to eat also but I don't make up a story 2 days earlier about the ...more only reason to keep this particular fish was because the protective coat on the fish was removed and that was the reason for keeping it instead of putting back in water. I have no problem with someone keeping fish the story just contradicts itself that's all. Ty and good fishing to you.

      We do practice catch and release a good bit. He decided to keep this one. His first one out of that lake. Please don't hate. You have no idea how many we actually ...more release. Very few do we keep.

      Look into replicas, they look great! Measure length and girth, weigh, and release. Cost is actually less.

      No Chris...we kept that one. He had planned on releasing her, but she ended up losing all the protective coating on her scales and figured best to just keep her. ...more We released everything else caught that weekend. including the 5 and 6.

      She was about 5 ft deep, but she had come up from deep. 4 in jig worm. and yes...she is full of eggs. Can't wait to see her on the wall.

      That should be a great trip! We have several tournys to fish over the next few months, but we will back at Toledo Bend in April. Just after the spawn, but still ...more should be good fishing.

      Yes sir! The fisheries in this area are phenomenal. Toledo Bend is one of the best. There were a few over 7 lbs and a 10 lb caught this same weekend by the College ...more and HS school teams.
