Needs a transducer. Transducer costs about 100$ am I better off just getting a new unit for about the price of a transducer? Please comment.

  My Dad gave me his boat 1.5yr ago. It had this same unit on it. I suggest you go an buy a new one. For $100 you can buy a new 3" or 4" unit(w/transducer) ...more that shows way more detail than this outdated one did.
