18.5" hog caught in my favorite winter hole on the first cast. Tossed the bait into slack water and drifted the bait slowly until it hit bottom, then slowly rolled the bait back to me. Fish hit right as the bait was leaving the slack water. Gotta love catching winter smallmouth!
