Today I realized it has been far too long since I caught a hard fighting bowfin so today I went to my bowfin spot to try for em with a variety of baits. Instead I caught two other toothy creatures, a small gar and a big 2ft eel which I did not expect in the least. Still can't find the hard pulling mud fish, maybe next time.
