11am, temp dropped, low 80s, winds gusting 15+, sky's was about to dump on us. Caught this chunky Bowfin, tucked the poles away, lightning in the area. 6-8FOW. Threw out passed the break, sat for good while. Finally bumped a few times then snagged him. Fun fight. Grass bottom made it feel like a monster. Pic and release. 🎣
