Stacked up like sardines! 2010 saw one of the largest sockeye runs in Pacific NE history: 30 million into the Fraser River and 3.7 million into the Adam's River. Space was at a premium! Every bit of slack water had them piled up through the entire water column. Spawning grounds were a carpet of red & green. This system has a large run every 4th year. The next big return is 2018. Playing them here expends vital energy they need for spawning. @King_Fisher

It would be @King_Fisher In this part of the system, also not a take fishery, unlike down stream. At this point they are ready to spawn and die. Figure that I'll ...more leave them to their business.

Gotcha it's probably way too easy anyway! Lol

Lol @flomofisher It's the stuff of the old timer's tales up there! "When I was a kid we'd walk across on the backs of the salmon"

      You could walk across them

Taking pictures and diving @King_Fisher A personal choice not to fish the river during the heavy runs. Fish in the lake during these times.
