Caught 2 earlier(1.5lb and 2lb). These were caught off the bank early in the morning at sunrise by me an my best friend, my son. Mine was 4lb and my son's was 5.2lb. All were caught on plastics and all my gear was cheap! You don't need expensive gear to get big fish!

      @angler09 thought you were insulting me and my boy... Sorry buddy. Those were 4.02lbs in my hand and my sons was 5.24lbs. He couldn't hold it with one hand. ...more Big misunderstanding with us here. My bad..

      Good advice about gear. I go out of my way to avoid expensive gear. My grandad did fine with base prices rods his entire life

      Oh sorry. Meant to say that I caught 2 earlier or the day before. We fished for a while. Then early morning the one I caught was on silver shad lure and the one ...more my kid got was on plastic crawdad...
