Fishing the fox river the other day for walleyes and smallies. Mainly focused on riffles and pools just below rapids, the key was to use lighter jigs that the current could move around to where the fish were but still heavy enough that you could stay near the botom. This walleye was our biggest at just over 20 inches. water was still in the mid 70s, just waiting for those colder days!
