Went to see Brazos Bend. Fished in heat of the day. Only caught some bluegill in the end. Went for bass. Loads of alligators, alligator gar, spotted gar, and bowfin all visible from fishing pier. A fisherman I ran into told me he has good results with frogs near the lily pads and lake edge. Another told me he lost a lure to a gator the day before. Enjoy!
