Smoky Mountain fishing. First Tennessee bass. Treble hook was wrapped around the bill so I was reeling in fast to fix it and recast. As the lure was coming in, this little bass struck hard out of the weeds near the bank. Nice surprise! Stuck to natural colors as the water was clear in the whole pond with the deepest probably at 3 feet. Right before sunset with no wind in beautiful 77º weather.

Well that's great I'm glad you're enjoying your time in the Smokies. Try Adams creek and the little River for smallmouth. Lake Chillowhee and calderwood ...more are also nearby and have great bass and trout.

Yes! Fished a couple streams near Greenbrier today and caught native rainbow trout. Beautiful park. @TennesseeTroutboy

Are you going to be fishing in the park itself?
