My first King salmon out of the skykomish river system. I was actually fishing for trout when I caught him, so I fought him on a 7' ultralight rod with 6lb flouroclear line. I can't believe I actually landed him on such light tackle.... A nine pound king will bulldog its way around a river, and it took me under logs and in between rocks. I had to chase him downriver 60 yards. C&R; seasons closed.
