Broke in my new 8' irod swimbait stick tonight with a decent fish on the 68 special huddleston. Casted to the edge of lillies and let the hudd sink and started a medium/slow retrieve and this fish Hammered it as the bait started thumping. New irod handled the fish money and the rods super light weight and balanced with the perfect parabolic bend for casting big swimbaits and fighting fish

@Jbird_401 dude I love the dialogue and I am going to go for the iRod 3-10oz. I'll probably order within the next week or so (battling some bad poison ivy at ...more the moment). Thanks bro

@simmsrenegade61 havent had a issue with the shorter handle. just means more business on the other end. sorry for blowing up your mentions

@simmsrenegade61 the guide select is a good rod. i think mine broke from me knocking it around in my truck out the back window. still love that rod too

@simmsrenegade61 when i called irod the owner picked up and he was willing to jump threw hoops for me. Good company and rods imo

@simmsrenegade61 first irod tw sent me they busted the insert out the top guide but long story short they overnighted me a new rod

@simmsrenegade61 they are rough on the guides jamming it in the tube. if you were bout to pull the trigger on the okuma id pay $15 more for the irod. its a feather ...more compared to a broomstick bro lol

@simmsrenegade61 bro this rod feels like a million bucks in my hands. Love the handle and the eva grips. You're gonna love it. Just inspect your rod when you ...more get it. TW stuffs em in a 8' box and...

@Jbird_401 Nice bro! One more question about the irod---how do you feel about handle length? 18" is pretty short for SB rods. I know the okuma you had that ...more broke was well over 20"

@simmsrenegade61 yea it'll throw the 68's and the spro rat money. just ordered a rat off ebay today. Went with white

@Jbird_401 ok, great info, thanks bro. As long as it throws the 68 hudds ok, I'm cool with it.

I know man I want to try it too thats what im probably getting next
    13. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 Its good to have the 3-10oz cause with the swimbaits you constantly wanna try bigger baits. I'd rather throw baits under the rating than throw ...more baits over the rods rating
    14. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 the irod throws my 9" slammer good too. Heaviest baits i been throwing is a 8" savage gear line thru and Swaver 200 both are around 3 ...more 1/2oz
    15. Jbird_401 0
      @Peytond52 I wanna try their flipping stick. i bet it's amazing !!
    16. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 Yea the rod throws 6" hudds perfect. I just throw my g2 shellcrackers on a 7'6" heavy flipping stick. The guide select is nice and ...more has a lifetime warranty but for $15 more I'd go irod
    17. Peyton Dalatri 0
No problem man glad you like it and ya im getting another one for sure
    18. simmsrenegade61 0
@Jbird_401 actually, it is the 3-10oz I'm looking at. You're comfortable with throwing less than 3oz on it?
    19. simmsrenegade61 0
@Jbird_401 the okuma select but when's yours broke I pumped the brakes. I don't know if I'd go 3-10oz but def the irod 2-8oz instead. I think you sold ...more me on the irod bro!

@Jbird_401 I have been teetering and researching irod for quite some time now and I've heard amazing things. I have a tec spec w&m, 7"6 heavy but I ...more am about to buy the big boy next. I almost bought...

@Peytond52 Thanks again for the feedback on the irod. It's my new favorite rod. I'll be buying more soon for sure!

@simmsrenegade61 What are you throwing yours with?
    23. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 I highly recommend it bro. I still like my okuma but this rods way more sensitive , balanced and way lighter. Okuma gave me tennis elbow after a ...more week lol
    24. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 i was referred by a guy from Cali on Instagram and a kid on here. Cali dude told me he likes em better than his Dobyns champion series. He had the ...more dobyns inserts fall out after a week
    25. Jbird_401 0
@simmsrenegade61 I went with the 8' extra heavy 3-10oz XL swim. It's amazing bro. So light and well balanced. It can throw baits under 3oz good too cause ...more its got a nice parabolic bend to it
    26. simmsrenegade61 0
