Had this monster a couple days ago due to lack of equipment it got off in heavy cover. I got a new bigger rod and reel came to the same spot changed swimbaits and rammed the swim bait in it's mouth the first cast had her on for a split second then got off second cast rammed into the side of it to poke the bear if you will and it worked she turned around and inhaled it.

nicklovin25 0Nope pretty sure it's post spawn there or it would have been 8 pounds. It's a shallow pond and there is a deep hole and shade where it's was hanging ...more around. Caught it about 20 feet from yesterday
