I had a few minutes to spare this morning in between classes and hit a local park pond for about thirty minutes. I had never fished there before, and having minimal time, grabbed a rod with a shiner pattern 4 inch gulp minnow and started casting. Pop jogging off the bottom, got nailed by a much nicer bass than expected. Overcast skies, chilly, mid 40s May morning, murky, grimy water.
