Went creek fishing in the greenbelt today and caught 10+ fish including this nice longear. Using a pfueger ultralite with 4 lb line

  Definitley not a blue gill @jeffreybravo_sj and the ear flap is to long to be a long eared it has to be a red breasted

  Defiantly a redbreast. Bluegill don't have that type of earflap. @jeffreybravo_sj

  I'm going to tag you in pics of a redbreast, bluegill, and longear I caught and you make the call on it but I'm 100% sure its not a redbreast , 80% sure ...more it is a bluegill as for hybrid sunfish I can't

  @Qmatty I believe its a Bluegill definetly not a Redbreast... Im almost 80% sure, but did you use any filter on that picture ??that's why I have slight doughts

  That's a big sunny. Nice. Actually a redbreast sunfish. Lepomis auritus.
