Was trying for bass in a small pond while visiting Florida a year back but the pond was infested with carp, no bass. One day while fishing off the dock an older man came up and put a mix of English muffin with a hamburger bun and a small weight and dropped it off the dock. 5 seconds later he pulled up a tilapia.
