Hey Team! The winter cold snaps are just about over and those fat bellied bucketmouths you've been dreaming about all winter are staging just off the flats! That's right! It's time to get in the spawn spirit! We all have that one favorite presentation for ticking off Big Bertha just enough to make her demolish our bait. So let's hear em! How do you work the spawn?

And twitch it until you get a reaction. If you don't get any interest, try switching it up like others have said... Don't leave a 5 pounder on a bed just ...more because it doesn't show interest first cast

So if you can find that spot, sit a craw or other soft plastic (weighted or weightless hasn't made a huge difference for me, although I prefer weighted because ...more it is easier to control) on that spot

Walk quietly up and down the bank, make sure you see the fish before they see you... As for the bed, all bass have a certain spot on their bed that really pisses ...more them off when you put a bait on there

Change to a different color, style or size bait.

The bed then let some line out and get hidden. It will come back and not see you. Slowly drag the bait over the bed. If it noses up, give it a nice pop. That will ...more trigger a hit. If it does not, then

If in a boat or kayak DO NOT block off the bass's deep water exits because that will scare it off. When the bass is off it's bed DO NOT cast at it. If it ...more is a skittish fish then pitch it way back in

Then it's a matter of time before I'll get it to swallow and from there it's fish on.

When they don't show interest that they will pick it up I'll try a swimbait and bump it off the bass's nose and that gets them angry and usually results ...more in a strike or slap.

I like to sit a worm or creature bait with floating claws on the bed to see what they do. Sometimes they pick it up right away, others they just stare and swim off ...more them bed and come back.

I caught 10 on beds a few days ago and two over 5 with a River2Sea Stand'N Yabbie. I like to move it slow and hit them on the nose with it. It works to find ...more the sweet spot on the bed

      Jigs, Jigs, Jigs.
    14. X2^^^^ and don't be afraid to go deeper! Then return to the beds!

WILL get mad and nail it! I like either very dark or very bright color baits so that I can see them more easily (the bass don't care, they just want it off their ...more nest) creature baits, jigs, and worms
    16. Chris Skinner 0
The bait sit and twitch for 10-15 seconds between movements. If that doesn't work, when the bass is stairing down your bait try bumping her in the nose with ...more it, it might take a couple tries, but she

Find the beds, get close enough to see the fish but not too close as to spook em, cast beyond the bed and drag your bait up to the edge, let it sit. Then slowly ...more inch the bait across the nest letting

Great to see Mr Info back. @Jimmy_Lynch @RyanEllis @MagicYaker @thefishwhisperer should also have some good advice. My only tip is to find the beds and get to ...more the fish first before they get wise
