Got my new carp/catfish setup! Best I could get at cabelas for catching carp (cabelas isn't the best considering carp fishing tackle). Even though it wasn't what I thought I was going to get I am pretty excited to use it. Info on reel-100 HSTZX 7.1:1 HS has 9 ball bearings +1 roller bearing,don't really know a lot of what this means,but I hope it is useful so I can get feedback on its performance.

Mason Cizek 0No problem. Just for future reference anywhere from 4.9:1-6.1:1 is a low speed reel (powerful) 6.2:1-6.8:1 medium speed (average power) 6.9:1-8.1:1 is a high speed ...more (less powerful but faster)

Mason Cizek 0Basically what 7.1:1 means is everytime you turn the handle the spool spins around 7.1 times. Its a high speed reel. In reels like that you sacrifice power for speed.
