yep that is true, the saltwater ones become especially active in the colder months too, that's one of the only place I have the chance to catch them where I ...more live

Yeah haha. I can never tell and I know rock bass feed a lot in the winter down here @seaturtles

actually there's a yellow bass and then there's striped bass (rock bass) which are two different species, but that just further adds to the confusion haha
    7. mpotter_25 0
Yeah UR ridge and I think striker are a little more yellow tinted than rock bass, correct me if I'm wrong though. @seaturtles

exactly and theres a fish called a whiting that also has 3 other names that it goes by: sea mullet, kingfish, and roundhead so it can get a little confusing with ...more common names
    9. mpotter_25 0
Yeah kinda like drum and redfish Ina way @seaturtles

and your not wrong, it's just that so many fish are called rock fish that it's confusing. There are Pacific Ocean rockfish, the rockfish that are a type ...more of sunfish, and then there's also striped bass
    11. mpotter_25 0
      Yeah that's what I've always thought. @seaturtles
