Me and one of my buddies are going crappie fishing Wednesday at Williamsport in Maury county TN and I was wondering if any of yall have any pointers? We are thinking about using minnows on long poles and jigging around fallen trees and stuff with them!

If there are docks fish them with minnows under a bobber, start out with 3ft from the bobber but try to find the fish. Or take tubes and jig the bottom around brush ...more or deep inside the brush

Live minnows under a bobber with a small split shot

Set your dead stick. Note: Crappie usually look up and ambush.

I'd use 2 rods. One to jig with and the other one to use as a dead stick with a bobber. With the jigging rod keep elevating it to various depths until you start ...more to hammer fish. When you figure a depth
