Cleaning out my catch yesterday and realize one of the trout I caught was not a rainbow. I'm not a trout expert but I'm pretty sure the one on the bottom is a baby steelhead trout or a male rainbow trout and the top one is a rainbow for sure. Guys leave a comment below if is a steelhead or a rainbow trout. Thanks

      It is a hooked jaw. The top doesn't have a hooked jaw. You can't tell just by colors and body shape. @TennesseeTroutboy

      Actually it is a male I didn't look at it long enough

      Thanks for letting me know, never knew that steelhead is a sea-run trout. I thought only salmon do that @Mason_Cizek

      That's not a hooked jaw, and they colors and form of the trout are female, they also are much bigger @Mason_Cizek

      No bottom is male top is female. The males have hooked jaws will @TennesseeTroutboy

      Bottom is a female and the top is a male @Mason_Cizek and they're rainbow trout, they have very good colors so they look like natural steelhead

      Yeah but this is a rainbow. A steelhead is a sea-run trout.
