I dropped down my worm and very casually jigged just enough to make sure my line was tight. I was using my fly reel in my setup and with a low drag setting the fish pulled out line which alerted me of the bite. I would then hold the line tight against the rod and reel in the fish. I was so glad when this unorthodox method produced this brook trout.
