  Sometimes you may have to let the fish take it for a couple minute to get it in their mouth. Patience it key!!!

  If you are going for smaller channel cats I would use an average sized hooks on a slip sinker rig. For bait I use worms. Cast out leave a little slack and watch ...more your line for it to tighten.

  Ah ok probably bottom fish with doughbait, stink bait, and cut bait like bream for the bigger blues. Maybe 3-4/0 circle hooks with bottom rigged weights
