The weather was beautiful, absolutely no wind, nice and bright most of the day, and the current was going in. The water was crystal clear all day making it easy to spot fish on top. This fishing was 200 feet down and punished me every second on the way up. I honestly felt like I had run a marathon when we finally got it in the boat. Defiantly a fun fish to catch just a lot of work to it.

8 inch live goggle eye off the bottom. Used a 50 foot 60 pound test mono leader and 10 ounce egg sinker to hold it in place. I dropped it right on the edge of the wreck to avoid snag ups.

@matfeo Yeah where I am, you go 3-4 miles and you're in 200+ feet of water. It definitely cuts down the gas bill.

@matfeo Also if there is a shutoff that I missed, we were in state waters when we caught it.

@matfeo I believe that's only for the Gulf of Mexico, we were in the Atlantic. I did check all regulations before we went out and Amberjack had a year round ...more season in the Atlantic.
