I'm fishing in Rhode Island next week in Charlestown and am wondering what I can use to catch stripers in a bay/ marsh that comes from the ocean. I know they come in at night and am wondering why bait to use. Live or dead? Or to use a popper or lure or something. Anything helps thanks.

@whitebass_81 I tried that technique this morning but with a plug and I got the biggest blow up I've ever seen. The striper missed the bait completely though.

Find out what the forage species is for that area, catch some and live line it.
