In which the fish is caught is a very key indication. Sierras are caught on the east coast from California to Chile, in the Pacific Ocean. @fishwi @jdgrisebaum

Well actually both have the spots. A Sierra mackerel can be identified by the beautifully unique bronze-green coloration on the top of the fish, that a Spanish mackerel ...more lacks. Also the region

Spanish have usually got yellow spots and Sierra have a more blank color and are usually bigger

How do you tell the difference between Sierra and Spanish? @jdgrisebaum @cole_papa
