Use a Palomar know and burn the tag end.

I'd use a palomar, double palomar or a san diego jam with an extra pass through the eye of the hook.

Check the eyes of your line guides on rod. Maybe there are damaged and fraying your line. Otherwise, palomar.

Try the Palomar knot. It always works for me from 15 lb power pro all the way to 65 lb power pro. Hope this helps
