      On the bank like all my beloved gar are I have found 15 that would be over 10 lbs dead and rotten in the last few months where people caught them and threw them ...more on the bank

      They make great eating on the half shell don't know why every one hates the but all this is coming from the guy who HATES walleye and trout tho great fish at ...more least he's still swimming and not dead...

      I grew up calling them sheepshead and I know there I'm the family so either way there fun to catch and release. Not worth arguing over

      Yea they are similar to black drum look alike act alike taste identical but not sheepshead

      @lainedillard They're basically the same fish. One is a black drum and one if a freshwater drum.

      @lainedillard sheephead is just what all Michiganders call them. The saltwater sheephead and freshwater drum are relatives.

      Yea around Ohio they call 'em white perch and will cuss you for keeping them @ChrisA and @DavidSchmitt there not even close to the same thing
