If you have deeper pools with few rocks you can always throw a bitzer zip or wolf big dude. Hope this helps. Oh and Ghost minnow is good HJ pattern for around ...more here. @RiverRat

Every so often kill it and fast jerk it to start the retrieve. Keitech makes a good smaller swimbait called the easy shinned. I use electric minnow and golden ...more shiner on a quarter ounce head.

If you have big walleye in the river I would try a berkely hollow belly swimbait on a gamakatsu swimbait head. Tennessee shad is a good color. Try slow rolling ...more that just ticking the bottom.

Any other lures youd recommend for eyes on the river, and even colors or patterns that have stood out? Ive been stocking up on baits.

It has been cooling off here. 50s during the day and 40s at night. I have lost nice walleye each time ive fished the lower river. Great Lakes state has it all when ...more it comes to freshwater fishin.

They are just starting to feed now. Weather has been warm but this week they should get the feed bag on. Hj 10 is my go to. @RiverRat

Thats a really nicely colored walleye. Looks almost like a big yellow perch.
