Here's the barbs from the stingrays I caught yesterday. The one next to the tape is from the ray in the pic with me @ 7". The next barb is 6", the double barb is 4" and the little one at 1".

      @S_M_L96 I'll give it a try. I still have them. They've been laying in my shop since I took this picture.

      @DaltonCraig it is safe to touch. Just don't stab yourself with it.

      So if I cut the barb off is the barb safe to touch?

      @DaltonCraig I usually cut them off to make handling the stingray more safe. I don't normally keep them either, but it made for a pretty good picture.

      @jeroadking71 wish I knew about keeping the barb when I got a cownose ray but oh well there's always next time ... I hope!!

      @JL23MG thanks, I always cut the barb off because they're safer to handle. This is the first time I've kept them. And it made for a cool pic.
