December fish, and also my first laker. Did you know lake "trout" aren't actually trout? They're a specie of char, native to NY. The Genus is Salvelinus Namaycrush

      Yeah I've heard that the moss has been in the system lately, but another really good spot for smallmouth is the nypa reservoir, last time I went, they would ...more bite on everything, especially minnow lures

      @Cpt_Bill Haha, right in between the two! I actually might go down to Artpark or the NYPA fishing platform to fish for smallmouth if the weather lets up

      Yep, same with Brook Trout. Brookies are also actually a species of char. 😉
