Thought I had a monster bass on my line. Like a 7 pound bass. Then it never surfaced so I realized something was up. It dove straight down and wrapped around something so I let it get out, brought it up, and the guy who took us out on the boat netted it. I was definitely excited and with 10 lb test on the reel was shocked I didn't snap the line.

Kerry Guyette 0I caught one on a tiny trap. I too thought I had the lake record. Those bowfin have a mouth full of teeth and bleed like crazy. The fight was amazing though.
