A storm was about an hour away. I had just thrown out a nice chunk of lady fish. We were out on the south jetty in Port Aransas Texas; fishing on the surf side. I saw my rod tip bounce twice, and then it happened. The drag on my little penn pursuit ll started singing. I only had 20 lb braid on the reel;so I had the drag set pretty lite. I picked up the rod, and leaned back to let tha # 12 mustad circle hook set tight. The fight was on. I chased that fish trying to navigate from rock to rock. 40 minutes and a couple of beautiful aerial jumps later. I landed my first black tip. Weighing 70 lbs and measuring in at 5 foot 3 ". What a shark from the bank. That was one of 3 black tips we caught in that last hour before the storm. A very solid afternoon for the four of us
