About Yellowtail Snapper

Back and upper sides are olive to bluish in color with yellow spots above the lateral line. The belly and lower sides have narrow longitudinal stripes that are pale red to yellow, and the fins are yellowish. It is easily identified by the wide yellow horizontal stripe on each side and a bright yellow, deeply forked tail. No dark lateral spot.
